The good folks Luxist have done a
post about some “charming” hotels around the world that will help you get away from big chain hotels like Hilton,
Marriott, etc. Now, I try to use the word “charming” as seldom as I use the word “quaint”, but that’s the name of the
guide, so I can’t really help it. But in all honesty, the site they mention here is nicely
designed and supposedly “spans the globe” although I did a search in Brazil, South America and came up with one
hotel…yes, ONE…in that country. Now I’ve been to Brazil and I am pretty sure there’s more than one “charming” hotel
there. So perhaps it’s a work in progress.
Either way, bookmark it and keep checking the site over time, as I’m sure things will fill out a bit.
