Sad Song

I’m a day late on the Delta Song sadness that
everyone

already
wrote
about,
but I’ve got to add my two sense of sorrow into the mix.

I flew Song only once, in June of this year, but I really enjoyed it. For me, it was a refreshing change from
Southwest, which I’m just tired of flying. We did have some problems with a flight cancellation on the return trip from
Vegas to JFK, but overall I was satisfied and hoping they would expand service so I could fly Song to other
cities.  Now that I think of it, I’m pretty sure I was supposed to get a voucher for the inconvenience that
cancellation caused us. But I guess I should kiss that goodbye.

Good news is that some of the popular Song features like the in-flight entertainment (with
trivia game, I hope?!), will be merged into all future
Delta flights of a certain distance. But I don’t think it will be as fun anymore, without the bright colored planes and
snazzy uniforms. At least I can say I got to fly Song. And, I was also among the lucky ones who visited their temporary
SoHo Song Store that was open for 6 weeks on Prince
Street in 2004. So much for building a brand.
