Top of the Rock

On November 1st, just two days away, New Yorkers and visitors to the city will be offered a tremendous treat. The
famous observation deck at the top 30 Rockefeller Plaza will open for the first time in 20 years. The space cost some
$75 million to renovate, but very soon you can ride up the 70 stories to the newly christened “Top of the Rock”. Once
up there, you will be treated to some of the finest views in the city. A full 360-degree outdoor viewing areas was
built on floors 69 and 70. You can bet I’m going to try to shoot a pano up there. The reality is, that since the
destruction of the World Trade Center in 2001, the Empire State Building has been the only public attraction offering
such full views of the city. To learn more about Top of the Rock and to buy tickets ($14 for adults) go to
this Web site or call 877-692-7625.
