It doesn’t get any better than this. The ski-topian state of Utah is offering arriving skiers coming from out of
state a free lift ticket as part of the Park City QuickStart
Program. Of course, as you can tell by the name, the deal only applies to areas within the Park City resort area.
That is, Canyonlands, Park City Mountain itself, and Deer Valley. All respectable areas, though I have to say I prefer
Alta. But that’s just me. Still, I wouldn’t ever pass up the opportunity for a free ski pass. It basically works
like this. From opening day to December 24 (they screw you for high season, of course) and from January 2 to February
16 and March 27 to April 16, if you fly into Salt Lake City airport, you can trade your boarding pass for a ski pass.
You have to show an ID and bring along a voucher
from this Web site, but other than that, the
sailing should be as smooth as the open white bowls of freshie.
