I recently discovered Sunset Magazine, which has a
nice travel section that focuses on the western United States. Last month they ran a feature about a great
road trip adventure, this time set in
the desert: Dale and Red visit Las Vegas, Death Valley and Palm Springs all in one week.
With Rat Pack music as motivation, they head to Vegas first, where they manage to do a lot in a short time, then escape
Sin City to the dunes and canyons of Death Valley. Their whirlwind adventure ends by scoping out the Palms Springs
homes of famous dead celebrities. Sounds like a fun mix of atmospheres, which they somehow comfortably cram into seven
days.
