One of the websites I used when doing some prep research on
Portland was the beautifully designed
Travel Oregon. I like how they break up the state into
seven distinct regions, and provide lots of good links to regional
visitor associations and chambers of commerce. The site is a companion guide to the magazine put out by the Oregon
Tourism Commission. It has handy tools like distance maps, a
calendar of events,
getaway suggestions and a list of
50 trips they love.
