We’ve all got our traveling horror stories. I’ve got a ton of them, though nowhere near as many as, say Robert
Pelton. Once when I was crossing the border from Venezuela to Colombia (thanks, Gabriel), a border said to be one of
the most dangerous in the world due to all the kidnapping and drug running there, I was held up at gunpoint by a
Colombian guard who basically took all the money I had in my money belt. Thankfully I put most of my cash into my shoe
anticipating trouble.
Well, in the spirit of the troubles that travelers sometimese face,
here is a nice little feature from the Fodors folks about
nightmare travel stories. Of particular note, you might check out
Naked in Key West, in which we learn
that it is often the best policy to keep your clothes on when traveling.
