Hot Air Balloon on New Years

New Year is always a time to reflect; a time to think back and more importantly about the
journeys ahead. Rather than dizzying your brain and scribbling down new
resolutions to post on the refrigerator, take to the skies for the answers. Clear your mind by way of an early morning
hot air balloon ride. This is an idea I’ve actually had for sometime now and it doesn’t look like it will be happening
on New Years for me this year, but maybe the next or on my birthday next year. If you find yourself taking a fancy to
the idea too, I suggest making reservations now.

There are several ballooning companies across the country offering experiences like this and the prices usually
range from $180-$300 per person depending on the type of package you get. For now we’ll focus on
Rainbow Ryders out of Albuquerque, NM. They are the official
ride operator for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta and have been in business nearly 23 years. Providing
more than the average lift off and float experience, riders will have the opportunity to help inflate the balloon, take
photos, and soar above the Sandia Mountains and Rio Grande Valley. After your flight, chow down on a continental
breakfast and toast to the New Year with a glass of champagne. Magical. Just magical.
