Geography Test

It’s a good thing to test yourself every one in a while Push yourself a little harder on the Stairmaster.
Read a difficult book. And maybe hone your geography skills. Every traveler I know has a pretty solid grasp of
geography. Why? Because it’s interesting and fun to know more about the world. That’s why travelers hoof it
out into the wild yonder whenever they can go. And most of us bring along books and other materials that help us
understand that world better.

So let me ask you, then. How much do you think you understand the world? Well
here’s a
simple test
over at the SF Chronicle. I do have to say it’s pretty lame they couldn’t hire a
fricken Javascripter to make this thing interactive, but whatever.
You’ll find the answers at the bottom of
the page. So go over and test yourself against the best that the editors there have to offer.  And just in case
you’re bashful about it, here’s a sample of the kind of questions you’ll find. If you get a moment,
post your score.

1. Which is larger: Greenland or Africa?

2. What is the only continent
without a desert?

3. Which is larger: Canada’s Hudson Bay or the Black Sea?

4. Which is

5. Which is farther north: Prague or Minneapolis?

6. Which is
farther south: Brownsville, Texas, or Chihuahua, Mexico?

Lucas?
