OK, this isn’t really funny...except that it is. I mean, sort
of in a mean, childish way…the way kids laugh at other kids when they experience momentary misfortune. So I’m kind of
a kid.
A photographer in China has been "criticized" by his fellow countrymen for waiting near a
pothole in Xiamen city so that he could take pictures of poor bicyclers…like the guy in this photo…who
hit the pothole which was covered up by rain water.
While, you might find the guy opportunistic in the
worst way…and indeed, we do too…the photos are still kinda funny. Again, sort of. Right?
Readers of the Beijing Youth Daily, which published the shots, wrote to the magazine to vent:
"The
pictures are well shot, but the person who shot this is disgusting. He knew there was a pit, but was waiting there for
someone to fall over."
Indeed. Perhaps he should have warned the poor soul. But I’ll bet others
knew the hole was there too and chose to just walk on. At least this guy has the enterprising spirit.
