What kind of traveler are you? How many
countries have you been to? For that matter, how many countries do you think there are in the world. Try now to count
them all. OK, don’t do that.
Well I ask these questions because I wonder whether there might be some folks
out there who have an interest in joining the Travelers Century Club.
I posted about the club sometime ago, and keep an eye on the site and news of the club just for kicks. They recently had
a 50th anniversary and I see they now have over 1500 members. I’m still short of 100 countries visited. I guess I’m up
to around 30 or so…not bad, but hardly great. It takes years to accomplish this which is why when you look at the
club’s photo gallery, most of the people are, well, very old.
The club lists 315 countries around the globe, and you only have
to visit 100 of them to make the club’s roster. There are restrictions, of course. It certainly doesn’t count if just
flew over the country.
So why not take a
moment and apply. Could be good for the resume…or to impress your future kids.
