Anyone who got chin deep in Mom’s home cooked leg of
lamb or prime rib over the holiday’s is probably going to cringe when mentioning shopping for swimsuits, but apparently
that time has come for some. When I checked my email this morning, never would I have expected getting one prompting me
to check out a bathing suit. I wanted to shout, "NO! I’m not ready yet… I’ve still got 10lbs to lose." And
besides, half of the world is freezing, it’s pouring in Napa and Oklahoma is ablaze, yet somewhere out there
temperatures are favorable enough to expose 75% of your birthday suit. So let’s roll with it.
Island bound
travelers missing this last item on the check list may wish to consider a number of sites on the web for both designer,
luxury, and basic water wear.
- Swimsuits.com offers a
wide range of swim wear selections for the entire family including wet suit items. - Victoria’s Secret, a popular top seller, has a
swim 2006 preview on their site now with over 100 new styles. Their incredible semi-annual sale is also happening at
the moment, so if you don’t mind sporting last season’s styles you’re bound to catch some really good deals. - SplashHawaii features brands from Roxy, Billabong, Raisins,
Leilani, OP, Becca, and Lucky Brand to name only a few. Prices are far from being over the top and they sell surf and
sportswear as well. - Billabong
is all geared up with their Spring 2006 collection of board shorts in for the men. All very nice. - US
Outdoor Store has a few good picks for both men and women. - Target
always has surprisingly trendy suits for jaw-dropping prices. Good place to grab two or three for the price of one and
make everyday on the beach a special occasion.
There’s a few to start you off while doing a crunch or
leg-lift around the house. BTW, happy swims.
