I promise that you will not be subjected to an
abundance of posts about Portugal between now and when I depart, but there will be a few and this one fit perfect for
our book of the day. National
Geographic Traveler Portugal is a new guide that was released in late 2005. This 272-page paperback has over 180
photos and 20 detailed full-color maps to help travelers navigate the coastal towns and hilly villages of Portugal’s
varied landscape. The book explores the country’s seven regions, with sections on history, food, land, accomodations
and culture. I’ve never used a National Geographic guide before, but these guys know their stuff so I’m sure it’s one
to consider if you are planning a trip to Portugal. I’m going to look for this next time I’m at the bookstore, although
it might only be available online, I’m not sure. Anyone ever use their guides before?
