I saw this one in the bookstore last week: 50 Great Adventures: Extraordinary Places and the
People who Built Them features a global collection of architectural destinations, exploring 50 buildings from
around the world and the people who built them. Helpful travel advice accompanies a discription and history of each
structure, which are organized into five sections: Live, Work, Pray, Play, Stay. According to Traveller Magazine,
the book is where "Architecture meets biography meets travel…its sumptuous images and stories are
accompanied by details on how to get there." This would have made a great holiday gift, but there are plently of
other reasons and celebrations throughout the coming year to consider this one –it would make a great housewarming
gift, or a birthday present for architecture and travel buffs. RIBA says you should buy this book simply because it contains
"…the magnificent Carhenge, Jim Reinders’ replication of Stonehenge using cars."
