Remember the days when Vegas was cheap?
All-you-can-eat buffets for $3.99, hotel rooms for $65, $1 minimum blackjack tables… This was not so
long ago folks! Sitting in my $300 MGM Hotel room right now, however, it seems like 100 years ago.
Fortunately, there is someone out there trying to keep these glory days alive.
Vegas local Anthony Curtis operates a very well-beloved newsletter called the Las Vegas Advisor. The Advisor is the most respected source in
Vegas for cheap meals, cheap tickets, coupons, drink specials, discounts and inside tips on virtually every great
deal to stretch your dollars in Vegas. And, it’s not just your run-of-the-mill coupon book either.
Curtis carries a lot of weight in Vegas. Casinos, restaurants, and countless other business fight to get
mentioned in his newsletter.
If you’re a regular visitor to Vegas, there is an online membership available for $37 a year. Judging
by the demographics of the readership, however, I’m assuming most people will opt for the 72-hour membership that
costs only $5.
And yes, the Advisor can point you in the direction of the few $1 betting tables left in Vegas. I’m
heading there now; I need just 299 wins to pay for my room tonight.
