Ever observant and helpful Gadling reader Carl
Hancock pointed out a wonderful new site I’d never seen before. Called Wayfaring, the site allows you to use Google Maps to show off your travel
itineraries, to plot the course of a trip and, well, I’m sure there are scads of things you could do with this.
Carl himself posted his imminent trip to Peru. Essentially what
you can do is map out the places you are going, and then add details like dates and hotel info to the thumbtack map
points. Like any good Google map, you can zoom in and out of your destination points, add to your blog and so on. This
would be a great way to keep a journal, I think. As well, you could make sure that your loved once follow every step of
your trip…or maybe that’s not such a good thing.
