Jonseing for Java

OK, raise your hands: who are the coffee addicts out there?
One, two, three…OK ten thousand two hundred and forty-three of us. Yes, it is pretty much imperative that each
morning the first thing I do is load up the coffee maker with fresh java and sit down to the paper. That has been my
routine since I was in college. But a good coffee when you’re out on the
town ain’t so bad either, and most big cities are teeming with great place to grab a cup of joe. And while most of them
are Starbucks, you can still find some excellent brew in gazillions of little cafes around the world. Thank goodness.

Well, USA Today has got a piece on the ten best places for java around the country. From Zoka Coffee in Seattle to peets in San Francisco I have to say the list provided here shows that the writer knows
what he’s talking about. And I should also call attention to the fact that they mention one of my favorites here in New
York City: Cafe Reggio in the Village.

Long-time gadling fans will remember that we did a Destination Podcast from Cafe
Reggio
a while back…should you want to listen to it, and I recommend you do…preferably with a steamy latte in
your hand.
