I just got my hands on Travel
and Leisure’s Best 2006 guide and have to say I’m rather impressed. This is a monster volume, but exquisitely
put together that basically assembles in one hard-bound, photo-laden volume all the recommendations you’ll need
to pull together your next trip. Like the magazine, the book here digs deep to find the best hotels, resorts, and spas,
and then illustrates it all with gorgeous photographs. This is the kind of book you’ll keep on your coffee table
and will thumb through while you’re hanging out watching TV…then you’ll find yourself, like I did,
pasting yellow post-its throughout its pages…most of which, sadly, you’ll probably never visit because there are just
too many of them.
