Africa is one of those
continents about which I know shamefully little — a state made more embarrassing by the fact that I’ve actually been
there. I’ve traveled to Egypt and to Nigeria, but save for those two countries, I know nothing about the rest of
the African lands. And it’s a state I’m dying to change.
In the event I finally do get off my duff and
book a trip, I won’t do it without first checking out National Geographic’s Africa Travel
Planner. The folks at National Geographic interviewed 18 Africa experts — and condensed their findings into
this handy guide, featuring tips on learning local languages, planning a safari, how to clear customs, and deciding
when to go. A must for any Africa-adventurer.
