Here’s a depressing statistic.
According to a recent study, 37% of the American workforce will finish off 2006 having not used all their vacation days. Even worse, 24% of workers did not take a single vacation day in 2006.
This is horrendous, folks! Especially considering that Americans only get an average of two weeks of vacation a year. Not taking even a small portion of this is sacrilege. You’ve worked hard, you deserve it.
If you’re part of this nose-to-the-grindstone group of workaholics, do yourself a favor; GET OUT! Take those vacation days before 2007 rolls around and you lose it. Your overworked brain and tightened neck muscles will thank you. Just don’t be a part of the 72% of people who check their phone or email messages while on vacation.
