This is a paid, one-year position in the Boston area, though you “need to be flexible and willing to travel.” Among other things, the job entails:
- Testing new cameras and lenses by using them on photo assignments.
- Planning interviews with established photographers.
- Doing logistics and planning for articles for the Travel section of photo.net, accompanying more senior photo.net staff on at least one or two trips during the year.
photo.net is looking for “an excellent photographer and photojournalist, but more important are strong written communication skills.” Depending on a experience, the chosen candidate will earn between $20,000 and $35,000 — including benefits and relocation expenses — with the chance to earn an extra $10,000-$20,000 from freelancing.
