More Plane Fashion — Disastore is a Disaster

Okay, this is just… um, stupid. I’m probably the last person on earth that should be deeming a fashion stupid or not, but seriously…

Italian design company Disastore is selling airplane disaster-related t-shirts, which in and of itself isn’t that unique or ground-breaking. They are t-shirts with images of broken airplanes falling out of the sky — big deal. But the packaging is where this company really feels like they’re making some sort of “statement.” Each shirt is packaged in a mock black box — the cockpit recording device — because “the black box is the only thing that least [sic] to testify what was happening before the tragedy,” therefore the only obvious thing to do is put an overpriced t-shirt inside of it.

Maybe I’m uncool, or I just don’t get it, but is this not the dumbest thing on the planet? If you’re still not convinced, be sure and read their “concept philosophy.” The only thing I can appreciate about the company is the fact they admit their own lack of future success. “Disaster, coherentally [sic] with it’s own philosophy, it’s a project destined to failure.” Wait, I thought they called themselves Disastore? Nevermind, I’m done.
