- Euro reaches new 2-year high — The rise of both currencies makes Europe more expensive for U.S. visitors, but shopping trips to the United States more enticing for Europeans.
- American Airlines seeks more female fliers — American Airlines, the world’s largest airline, says it can boost revenue by $94 million a year by tailoring some of its services to the growing number of women travelers.
- Atlantic City smoking restrictions begin — The new law restricts smoking to no more than 25 percent of a casino’s floor.
- JetBlue CEO again apologizes for long delays — The chief executive of JetBlue Airways Corp. apologized again Friday for his airline’s shoddy performance during a Valentine’s Day storm.
- The Rise of the Trader Joe’s Pilgrimage — The stores, which began in California in 1967 and are spreading around the nation, have rabid fans, many of whom have suddenly found themselves living in dark, lonely, soulless places-in other words, places without a Trader Joe’s-jonesing for Joe’s groceries. Hence, the long-distance TJ’s pilgrimage.
