Books for Women Travelers

Travel books aimed towards women travelers is a rapidly growing niche in the publishing world.

Ten years ago, one could hardly find a single book focusing on this genre. Today, so many books are emerging that Christine Delsol of the San Francisco Chronicle has found it necessary to group four of the newest together in an overarching review.

Words of wisdom for worldly women tackles books about girlfriend getaways, places women should go, and how they can travel solo.

If this is your cup of tea, check it out for some pretty cool reading material.

And, as an added bonus, Delsol also includes some brief reviews of travel books which focus on a literary bent, such as Literary St. Petersburg, by Elaine Blair. I suppose for you women out there who love literature, Delsol’s column is the perfect read.
