New Online Booking Engine Promises to be the Best

Yet another site to find and book airline tickets!

And of course, this one promises the “lowest prices and best schedules.”

Vayama.com is currently in Beta mode, but it just might emerge as one of those Kayak-worthy travel sites that we all come back to.

Here is one of the things I like best about it: a map. Plug in your departure and arrival cities, and Vayama will plot the routes. So what’s the big deal? Not only is it cool to visualize your journey, but it comes in handy when you have a choice of connections to make. Now you can actually see how far out of your way some connections take you.

Vayama also claims to provide a number of fares that the company has privately negotiated that have never been published online before. I did some jumping around on some random flights but didn’t find any spectacular savings. According to a recent article in USA Today, however, these special deals pop up by combining unusual destinations and airlines–such as a San Francisco to Sydney flight aboard Hawaiian Airlines.

So, I guess it is a wait and see. I will most certainly bookmark this site and use it along with a handful of others when I make my next travel arrangements. It will either provide the best option for my trip, or it won’t.
