National Geographic Traveler writer Sara J. Welch has noticed an odd trend in tourism slogans over the last few years; they are incorporating more and more sexual innuendo into the sell.
Using sex to sell is hardly something new in the world of advertising and promotion. Traditionally, however, it hasn’t been as overtly and gregariously embraced by cities and countries that normally tout their more wholesome attributes. But that’s all changing.
