Photography experts always warn against centering your subject in the very middle of the frame. Geyser Gary, however, has dutifully ignored them with this fine shot of hikers tackling Mt St. Helens in Washington State. I love the way the eye is drawn immediately to the center and then slides down the row of hikers to the marine layer beyond with its island-like dollops of mountain peaks. Very cool!
