To celebrate the launch of Megabus‘ fifth city hub (Washington, D.C.) and the increased popularity of express bus travel nationwide, the low-cost bus company announced that they are beginning a 200,000 free seat giveaway for travel between January 12 and March 1, 2011.
Travelers will need to use the promo code WOW200K on us.megabus.com to book their free seats. Last year, the company offered a similar 100,000 seat promo, but they’ve committed to doubling the number of free tickets this year due to rapid expansion, a company rep said.
“We offer service to 18 cities from Chicago, 12 cities from Philadelphia, 15 cities from New York and now 14 cities from D.C.,” said Moser. “That’s a huge pool of potential customers that can use the free tickets to experience megabus.com’s service for the first time.”
