James Bond’s Wardrobe, Props On Display In London

With this year’s new James Bond movie “Skyfall,” agent 007 is celebrating fifty years on the screen.

The Barbican in London is honoring the occasion with the exhibition “Designing 007: Fifty Years of Bond Style.” On display are costumes worn by the various actors who have portrayed him, along with sketches for set designs, props like the famous golden gun, and some of Bond’s famous cars. The Bond girls also get their due with the famous swimsuits and ball gowns they wore as they dodged bullets and fell for the silver screen’s coolest spy.

As the name implies, the exhibition explores the visual aspect to the Bond genre and how it has become instantly recognizable around the world. Visitors will get a glimpse into all the hard work and talent that went into creating a legend. After the show you can relax at the Barbican’s special martini bar.

“Designing 007” runs from July 6-September 5.

There are even props from some of the famous Bond villains. Go to the next page to see a memento from my favorite Bond bad guy. That’s right, the jaws of Jaws!
