Daily deal – Sandisk Cruzer 8GB USB memory key for $20

by Scott Carmichael on

My daily deal for today is for the Sandisk Micro Cruzer 8GB memory key.

This portable storage key is the perfect way to carry your documents on the road, as well as a great way to keep backups of things like emergency scans of your passport and other travel documents (just be sure to password protect them!).

This product usually retails for around $40, but Radioshack of all places currently has it on sale for just $19.99, and they’ll even throw in free shipping.

The product is only available from the Radioshack website, so don’t bother trying to score this deal at your local shack. In an upcoming article I’ll write about ways you can put a USB memory key to good use, as well as ways to safeguard the data stored on it.

Daily deal – SwissGear computer backpack for $35

by Scott Carmichael on

My daily deal for today is for the SwissGear computer backpack. This stylish backpack has compartments for your laptop computer, MP3 player, water bottle, books and more.

The SwissGear computer backpack has an MSRP of $100, but usually retails for around $60. Amazon.com currently has it on sale for just $34.25.

Amazon has not posted too many details about the bag, but the comments on the product page have quite a bit of information, and most customers seem very impressed with the quality and the amount of storage space.

Since the bag is over $25, you’ll get it shipped for free.

Daily deal – big MP3 player sale at Amazon.com

by Scott Carmichael on

My daily deal for this sunny Saturday, is for a big clearance of MP3 players over at Amazon.com.

You won’t find any iPods on sale, but there are some other very interesting deals, like 50% off the previous generation Slacker wireless music players.

There are also several players under $10, which would make great stocking stuffers, if you are one of those shoppers that likes to stock up on deals well before the seasonal madness begins.

Be sure to read the reviews of a player before clicking the “buy it now” button, because not all the products on sale are, how do I say this, “decent”….

As always with Amazon, products shipped directly from the Amazon warehouse ship for free on purchases over $25, and members who subscribe to Amazon Prime will get free 2 day shipping.

Daily deal – 8GB SD memory card for $9.99 shipped!

by Scott Carmichael on

A very good morning to you! I’m posting my Gadling daily deal a little earlier today because at 8am (PDT), Newegg will start selling their “shell shocker” deal. This deal is for an 8GB SDHC memory card.

The card usually retails for around $20, but for just one day, and until they run out of inventory, it will be on sale for just $9.99. Newegg even pays for the shipping. The card is “class 6”, which means it is the fastest generation SD card on the market, making it perfect for a digital camera.

Make no mistake, this deal will sell out quite quickly, so don’t wait too long to order it. The deal can be found here, but until 8am PDT, you’ll be redirected to a page telling you to be patient!

A quick word of warning; SDHC cards are not regular SD cards, and your camera or other device will have to support the SDHC standard. If you purchased your camera in the past year, then you’ll probably be ok, but please check your user manual before placing an order for a card that might not work.

Daily deal – Targus compact camera accessory kit for $5.99

by Scott Carmichael on

My daily deal for today is for the Targus “Universal Hot Pink Digital Camera Accessory Bundle“.

The kit consists of a “hot pink” camera case, a memory card holder, a cleaning kit and a camera screen protector (sorry, the camera is not included). Of course, no product description would be complete without the obligatory mention of using it as a stocking stuffer…

The case is compatible with many compact digital camera models, but be sure to check the list on the product page to see if your camera is included.

This kit usually retails for $20, but it is currently on sale for just $5.99. Since it is being sold by a third party Amazon reseller, you’ll sadly have to pay $7.99 shipping to get your hands on it.
