Daily Deal – Kodak 12 Megapixel digital camera with HD video

by Scott Carmichael on

My deal of the day for today is for the Kodak Z1275 digital camera.

This fantastic little point and shoot camera takes photos in a whopping 12 megapixels, and even has the ability to shoot HD video! The lens provides an impressive 5x optical zoom as well as a 5x digital zoom option.

The camera is refurbished by Kodak, which means it was once returned to them, but has been returned to its brand new condition. Kodak provides a 1 year warranty on the camera.

This camera retails for almost $180 on Amazon.com but is on sale today for just $79.99 through Woot.com. Shipping is $5, but like with all Woot deals, it is only on sale for one day, and when they sell out, the deal is gone so don’t delay if you are interested in purchasing one.

Included in the package is the camera, 2 AA batteries, a wrist strap, a USB cable and a special adapter which allows the camera to be “docked” on most Kodak photo printers.

No memory card is included in this deal, but the camera does come with 64MB of internal memory, which should be enough for about 10 photos in full resolution. To expand the memory of the Z1275, you’ll need to invest a little more for a memory card. The camera takes the SD (secure digital) format which means you’ll be able to find cheap cards everywhere. 4GB SD memory cards can be found for as little as $20 at your local electronics store.

This camera is great for any beginner as well as people looking for a more advanced digtial camera. The HD video option is great for taking short vacation video clips, and the ability to power the device off regular AA batteries means you should never find yourself without enough juice to shoot that perfect moment.

You’ll find the Kodak Z1275 deal here.

Daily Deal – Half price unlimited Wi-Fi access from Boingo

by Scott Carmichael on

My deal of the day today is a way to get more than half off unlimited nationwide access to the Boingo Wi-Fi service.

With Boingo, you can access wireless hotspots from iBahn, T-mobile, AT&T, Wayport and Sprint. With unlimited access to these services, you’ll be able to get online from virtually every paid hotspot location in the country, including McDonalds®, Starbucks®, Barnes & Noble® and most hotel chains and airports.

The Boingo unlimited service normally costs $21.95 a month, but with this deal, you’ll be able to signup for just $9.95 a month. This rate is not a promotional rate, so it stays this low as long as you are with Boingo.

Many airports charge for Wi-Fi access, so if you have been a regular user of these services, you’ll easily earn that $9.95 back. The deal is also quite attractive for people currently subscribing to other Wi-Fi providers. The T-Mobile hotspot service is $19.95 per month, but since it is included in the Boingo unlimited package, you can see why it would make sense to pick Boingo instead.

To learn more about Boingo, and the locations they offer their service follow this link. A more comprehensive hotspot search site can be found at JiWire where you will also find an iPhone version of their search engine.

To signup, follow this link or go through their normal sign up procedure and use code UNL01090USD0 in the promotional code field.

Daily Deal – 25 Targus travel products for under $25 each

by Scott Carmichael on

Welcome to my fist Deal Of The Day!

My deal today comes from Targus and it is not one product, but 25 different products. To celebrate their 25th anniversary, Targus is offering some of their most popular items for under $25 each.

You’ll find some pretty nice notebook bags, backpacks, a portable wireless mouse and a nifty voice recording remote control with laser pointer. Shipping on most products is a reasonable $7 and most Targus products come with a limited lifetime warranty.

Some of the highlights are the deluxe ladies tote which retails on Amazon for $81.88 and the Flare 15.4″ backpack which retails for $59.03. But the best deal (in my opinion) is their mobile essentials kit for the iPod and other MP3 players; this carrying bag comes with a car and wall charger for your mobile player, speakers, a battery backup charger and a headphone splitter.

The deals can be found here (source: Fatwallet.com).
