That’s right. Adventure golfing. Never heard of it? Neither had I, until I came across a recent release from Canadian Rockies Golf that lays out their adventure golf packages for the upcoming fall season.
Based in the western province of Alberta, the team at Canadian Rockies Golf has produced a handful of adventure golfing packages that combine some of the most scenic links in western Canada with the numerous outdoor adventure opportunities of the Rocky Mountains.
Try their “Pins and Fins” package which combines two rounds of golf with an eight hour guided float trip spent wildlife viewing and fly-fishing for trout.
Or, if you want to get an aerial view of the course you’re going to be playing, why not take part in a heli-golf excursion where you tour the Canadian Rockies by helicopter and then play the courses you were just flying over?
For those looking for something a little more relaxing there are of course golf and spa packages that are offered together, but why not get out into the Canadian wilderness and combine 18 holes with a whitewater rafting trip down the Kananaskis River?
With the Canadian Rockies at their annual best during the fall, and with packages running through the end of September, adventure golfing in Canada just moved towards the top of my late summer outdoor wish list.
