Haute Dog Easter Parade

First of all, Haute is pronounced “hot” and I’d like to meet the guy who thought this up. Justin Rudd is the visionary who started up the Haute Dog Easter Parade as a fundraiser to help various Southern California charities and as a dog adoption event. Owners dress dogs up in their Easter finest and dogs win prizes based on the bonnets they wear during the parade. If you happen to be at Belmont Shore in Long Beach on April 8, this looks like a hoot. Here is the downloadable entry form. You can register there as well. Check out the website for the bonnet catagories. If your dog wins first prize, you get free food for a year. I’d say this is an Easter Parade event with a real twist. In case you can’t make it, here’s one way to be there. Watch last year’s event. Rudd was also featured on Jay Leno.
