I was drawn to this photo because of its dense gray color and the slice of light through the middle. And don’t the clouds look so heavy they could be full of lead? I love skies like this one.
As I searched around annette_likes_rain’s photo page, I realized that this shot was taken somewhere in or around Homer, Alaska, which is where my husband grew up and is also one of the only other towns down here on the Kenai Peninsula. It’s pretty cool to find a little piece of home in Gadling’s Flickr photo pool.
