There’s nothing worse than forgetting where you parked your rental car. Well, perhaps worse is when you forget what kind of rental car you had in the first place. How do you find a car when you don’t even know what car you’re trying to find? I’m pretty sure this guy always remembers where he parked. Security is his big problem. Flickr user u07ch spotted this “motorist” in Belfast keeping an eye on his vehicle because he failed to splurge on a proper alarm system. I guess it beats coming back to your rental car and finding that your GPS has been stolen. Come to think of it, this guy doesn’t even appear to have GPS. How’s he going to find the closest Apple Store?

What is it with kids today? They always have their hair in their eyes, scowls on their faces and loud music blasting in their iPods. Why all the angst? And why do they all smell like they sprayed an entire bottle of Abercrombie & Fitch cologne on themselves? I blame the MTV. Or maybe it’s that Justin Bieber. Speaking of which, who the hell is Justin Bieber? Anyways, it’s nice to see that emo haircuts and forlorn looks have made their way to rural Thailand. Flickr user AlphaTangoBravo / Adam Baker found this hipster in a hill town in Chiang Dao. I’m guessing he loves Twilight.

I love photos that you can see yourself in, like this one from mikeyu1402, titled “1+2”. Taken on a beach in Asia (which is the only description I could find on the photo), the scene is perfect for anyone needing to escape a little reality in their day.

The best way to see a new place is to walk around. Wake up early, hit the streets and just wander. Through markets, up hills to scenic lookouts and through tiny neighborhoods that allow you to really see how people live. But all of that shopping, wandering, strolling and sightseeing can really wreak havoc on your feet. Sometimes you just need to sit your ass down, stay still for a while and let everyone else do the walking while you simply watch. That’s why, when you finally see a bench, it’s like a mirage in the desert. This photo by Flickr user flicts makes me so happy. There’s nothing like a well-placed bench after a day of being dragged around to shops, ruins and unforgiving cobblestone streets. Except for maybe a well-timed churro.

Seen any good spots to pop a squat? Why not add them to our Gadling group on Flickr? We might just pick one of yours as our Photo of the Day.

It’s sexy, sultry, and seductive. To some it’s forbidden, for others it’s a brief moment of passion stemmed from just a few musical notes, which for centuries have created a stirring sensation on the dance floor. The tango is one of the most romantic forms of dance and while some have tried to ban the dance from their halls, others have embraced the tango for everything it stands for.

So, when the mood strikes, just dance. That’s what the people outside this Cathedral we doing when Cristina Passarelli grabbed this shot of couples doing the tango in Argentina.

Titled “Tango en frente de la Catedral”, the photo captures an awesome irony between the tango’s forbidden footwork and the church’s regimented principles.
