Video: Haight Ashbury Museum of Psychedelic Art and History

The Haight Ashbury movement may seem like a thing of the past. That’s true or false, mostly depending on who you ask. But no matter how present the psychedelic spirit might still be in modern culture, its debut was art-altering, no one can deny that. That’s why I hope the dream of the Haight Ashbury Museum of Psychedelic Art and History is soon realized. Tourists flock to Haight Ashbury in San Francisco as it is–maybe we should support giving them all a destination wherein they can view art from and learn about the Haight Ashbury movement in one, respectable place. Personally, I’m been using Pinterest to document my favorite pieces under the umbrella of ‘Psychedelic Art’ and, as a traveler, I’d love to see this sort of fixture in San Francisco.
