Matthew DeBellis’ first person tale of winding through the Roman hills to
Frascati, a historic hill town, tells a story of a man
questing for the osterie experience.
By this, I mean he is seeking with his friends an Italian dining adventure well away from the place tourists go and
where you are likely to rub elbows with many Romans looking for an escape from the big city. The osterie they
end up at, La Tana del Cinghiale, is a place where your food is shared without words, the meal is long and the
service is simple but friendly. A great read.
