I see London, I see France, TSA sees people without their underpants. This article seemed to be all over the place so I figured I’d make quick note here. USA Today has a piece on the latest and greatest ways to invade air travelers privacy with new X-ray machines that pretty much show all. The “backscatter” machines have been in use for sometime at a couple of airports in customs to catch real bad guys like drug smuggler’s, but now it seems anyone can be a potential bad guy or terrorist. Apparently, Michael Chertoff, Homeland Security Secretary wants the technology ‘now’ without the never ending privacy debate. Go figure.
