There is no better way to express your love for your favorite city than having it tattooed on your chest. That, at least, was the inspiration behind Michael Duplessis sauntering into a local tattoo parlor in Chicago and having “CHI-TOWN” emblazoned upon his body in permanent ink–or so he thought.
When the mechanic later pulled off the bandages and gazed proudly at his new chest, a horrendous error glared back: “CHI-TONW.” Yep, the tattoo artist made a little typo.
Duplessis was not pleased with the rendering and filed a lawsuit last February seeking damages for “pain and suffering” and a “loss of self-esteem and psychological pain.”
Man, that makes me think twice about getting that Vladivostok tattoo.
