Gadling Flickr pool member James Wheeler brings us this Photo of the Day, titled Starfish Breakfast, taken in Kitsilano, Vancouver, BC, with a Nikon D5000.
James tells us:
“When the tide is low along the shore of Vancouver it is easy to find purple starfish clinging to the rocks. The starfish are about the size of the palm of my hand but the seagulls are still able to eat them, but it takes a while. This seagull was working on getting the starfish down for about 5 minutes before he got to this point where only two tentacles were sticking out of his mouth, nice meal for a gull.”
