Daily deal – Altec Lansing Orbit MP3 portable speaker for $22

by Scott Carmichael on

My daily deal for today is another of those favorites of mine – the Altec Lansing Orbit MP3 speaker is a portable battery powered speaker that packs an astounding punch.

The pint sized speaker produces enough sound to fill a decent size hotel room. The speaker works off 3 AAA batteries, and connects to your device with a standard headphone jack. The connector is iPhone compatible.

The Orbit MP3 speaker usually retails for about $30, but is currently on sale through Amazon for just $21.88.

Last year October, I took a look at the updated version of this speaker – the iM237. This newer version mainly offers some changes in its looks, but also adds a padded carrying pouch. You’ll also find the iM237 at Amazon, where it currently retails for $29.70.

Daily deal – Creative Vado HD pocket HD camcorder for $130

by Scott Carmichael on

Several weeks ago I reviewed the Creative Vado HD camcorder, and was very impressed with its video quality and included accessories.

This $229 camera is well worth its price, but if you are looking for a way to snag one at a (much) lower price – read on!

Amazon is offering the Vado HD for $229.99 with an instant $100 discount when you use promotional code I4PQ9E3S.

Here is how to get the deal – add the Vado HD to your cart (make sure Amazon is the seller, and not a third party). Then at the final stage in the checkout process, add the promotion code in the box on the right.

It’ll take $100 off, and you can get this awesome HD camera shipped for just $129.99.

Daily deal – Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth headset for $50

by Scott Carmichael on

My daily deal for today is for the Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth headset.

This headset is one of just a few out there that actually looks very stylish. The headset comes in a small leather case, which even contains a battery pack for charging the headset when you are not using it.

This headset usually retails for about $90, but Amazon currently has it on sale for just $49.99.

The Discovery 925 features the AudioIQ noise canceling feature and its multipoint support means you can “pair” it with several Bluetooth devices at the same time.

Included in the package is the headset with its leather charging case, a MicroUSB charging cable and an AC adapter. You’ll also find an assortment of replacement earpieces in the box.

Daily deal – Car FM transmitter with built in MP3 player for under $7

by Scott Carmichael on

My daily deal for today is perfect for bringing some tunes to your (rental) car.

This FM transmitter can play music off an MP3 player, or off a memory key plugged into its USB slot. In addition to this, it features an SD card slot for holding tunes. The player even comes with a remote control.

This amazing little device costs just $6.92, and ships for free! One word of warning though – the product ships from Hong Kong, and it can often take up to 3 or 4 weeks to arrive at your doorstep.

While you are there, I highly recommend adding some items, like their super cheap iPhone cases or one of their flashlights. You’ll be amazed how affordable their stuff is, just remember that you get what you pay for – you won’t find expensive packaging on any of these items!

Daily deal – 120GB Zune “Gears of war 2” edition for $202

by Scott Carmichael on

My daily deal for today is for one of the cheapest 120GB media players on the market. This 120GB Zune normally retails for about $225, but when you purchase it in this “special edition”, you can pick it up for just $202.30.

Of course, the price you pay is that you get the player decorated for the video game “Gears of war 2”. I reviewed the Zune a few weeks ago, and found it to be a very impressive little device, and one I highly recommend if you are looking for a new player, especially if you plan to hook it up to a TV.

120GB is sufficient for hours of video, and thousands of songs. Included with the player is a USB sync cable and a pair of headphones. Shipping is free.
