Okay, when I clicked play, I was smirking in disbelief. By the time the 2-minute, 47-second film had ended, my mouth was hanging open. Håkan Nordkvist claims he traveled into the future, met himself as a 70-year-old, and then returned to the present. It’s easy to dismiss his story. However: he has proof.
Happy Feet Indonesian Style
Maybe it’s due to a throwback from my Peace Corps days, but I love this video. I’m also intrigued by the guy who made it. Happy Dance basically is a bunch of Indonesian kids dancing to jazz music, although, whoever directed and edited this captured the essence of bliss. This is charming with a capital C. According to KentClark3’s profile, he’s 87. I’m not sure if I believe him. I don’t know why, but maybe he is. Another intriguing detail about KentClark3 is that he also posts chapters of his novel on his blog, Jakarta Kid. The novel is a fictitious account of being an expat living in Jakarta. If you look at the photo of the boy in the blog and look at the video, see if the same boy plays the main character.

Lotus Lantern Festival: WOW!
A few days ago I wrote a post on Buddha Day and mentioned the Lotus Lantern Festival in Seoul, Korea as being connected to it. Today is the last day of the lantern festival. Here’s video I came across that captures the essence of what the Lotus Lantern Festival is. If a picture is worth a thousand words, in this case, I’d say a video is worth 10,000 at least. Thanks to naranator for the post on You Tube.
Instant Vacation via your TV Remote
Have you even been sitting on your couch watching some travel program and wish that you could be magically transported there?
Disney is launching a new service in the United States which aims to do just that.
Disney’s Travel on Demand will be a library of travel-related, video-on-demand programming. Subscribers of Time Warner Cable and Cablevision can simply pick a video of an appealing destination and any time during the watching of it, they can press a button on their remote. Within 15 minutes the phone will ring and a Disney travel agent will be on hand to book your next vacation.
So, if you’re a sucker for infomercials and have purchased far too many Ginsu Knives in the past, this might be something you want to avoid. Otherwise you’ll sit on your couch all day ordering up vacations you can’t afford. But wait! There’s more….!
