Sometimes I wonder if animals talk to each other. And if they do, is it just about food and migrations and defending themselves against predators? Or do animals gossip? This photo by Flickr user Ryukyu Mike only reinforces my belief that some animals are like the old ladies who speed walk through the mall every morning. Certainly these Black-winged Stilts in Okinawa, Japan are discussing whose mating with whom, who’s put on weight and who’s laid eggs fertilized by that sexy new bird in town. And did you hear about Ethel?! There has to be scandal in the animal kingdom and it needs to be discussed.

Don’t you hate it when you’re in a remote place and then you stumble across someone else? Suddenly your epic adventure is significantly less epically adventurous. This cow decided to take a stroll though Utah’s Monument Valley at the same time as Flickr user skinnymalinky1. And worse yet, it walked right through the photographer’s shot. How rude!

If you’ve been to Istanbul you know not to miss the Grand Bazaar (and if you’ve never been to Istanbul you now know what you must see). This photo by ken_1001 truly captures the mood of the market. We don’t know his name, but we bet this is a man who has worked hard his entire life in the markets. The lines around his eyes tells a thousand stories, and the smile on his face lights up a room.
